Toasty!
I'm joining the Toastmasters! wohoo! now instead of arguing and making a total ass of myself in debates i can actually make people smile and laugh! I will also be founding the IIUM Toastmasters soon. i hope that it would generate interest among the students. It will of course be free from the normal debate club arrogance and be actually fun!! Open for suggestions? Anyone think its going to succeed?

Hey if your plan for a toastmasters' club at IIU comes to fruition, I'm sure there'll be plenty of people eager to join. Maybe myself included.
well, good to see u've found something else worth ur time... good luck with it... especially with the "free from the normal debate club arrogance..." part... maybe during ur tenure it'd be okay but i guess after a while everything goes down that road... power crazy people r everywhere mate...
i hate politics Halian. And there will be none at Toastmasters if i can help it.
hey fareez, great blog! found it from halian's blog, which I found from Aiz's. anyway I dont think its free, so long as you use the Toastmasters tagline, and you have to follow all rules of meeting of TM.please refer to www.toastmaster.org. Members would have to pay fees for registering, they even have a book and some sort like study material to follow sequence of your speech.
Maybe you should start browsing through the web page for start? Do lemme know once its established, i'll be your first member :)

I agree with Yom. There are certain amount of fees involved with toastmaster. I am thinking of joining one although most probably with the one nearer to my work place. Good luck with trying to establish IIUM toastmaster!!
